More About Us
Greendale Carpets and Floorings Ltd is the biggest Independent Buying Group in the UK, and in 2012 we celebrated our 50th anniversary. From the early days of its conception in 1962 we have progressed from what was an exclusive ‘club’ to a nationwide association of over 135 independent retail carpet and floorcovering specialists.
We are a mutual trading company run on a cooperative, not-for-profit basis, and are owned by our Members. What this means to you, the customer, is that we can use the combined buying power of all those Members to source UK and overseas ranges at extremely competitive prices. By not making profits, all these savings are passed on to our Members who are then able to pass them on to you.
Why are we different?
Greendale is unique in the UK carpet industry because we are the only Member-owned independent group that has a central stockholding facility. From our purpose-built warehouse and offices in the West Midlands we can guarantee prompt delivery of any order from our stock to all four corners of the UK.
Whether our Members are large multi-outlet furnishers, small owner-managed design consultants, or long established family businesses every store has access to this vast central stock of quality carpets, be they woven or tufted, plain or patterned, from all the leading manufacturers. In addition we also provide access to suppliers of wood floors, naturals, vinyls and of course, rugs.
